Juan Chaverria Montoya Arrested for Two Burglary Incidents in San Mateo

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office officials have arrested 28-year-old Juan F. Chaverria Montoya of San Jose, who is suspected of burglarizing a residence twice in two days.

At around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a burglary report at a home on the 2900 block of Long Ridge Road in unincorporated La Honda. Upon investigation, deputies found Montoya had forced open a rear window of the home and stole around 50 items valued at approximately $3,000. The stolen items were located in his vehicle, which was parked nearby.

Further investigation revealed Montoya had also committed a similar burglary at the same residence the day before. Montoya was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges of residential burglary.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather more details.
