A tragic incident unfolded on the morning of January 27, 2025, when 29-year-old Joshua Demarshall Andrews allegedly abducted his ex-girlfriend, Glynis Jackson, from the Nissan plant in Canton, Mississippi. According to Sheriff Randy Tucker, Jackson was tragically shot multiple times during the abduction and later found deceased near the 161-mile marker on I-55 in Holmes County.
Authorities have charged Andrews with capital murder and felon in possession of a firearm. He is currently being held at the Madison County Detention Center without bond. Sheriff Randy Tucker condemned the crime, describing it as “heinous” and stating that Andrews would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The investigation has been a joint effort, with significant assistance from the Madison County District Attorney’s Office, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Highway Patrol/Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (Greenwood Division), Nissan, and the deputies and investigators of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
