Joshua Congleton Arrested for Drug Charge After Search at Pitt County Detention Center

PITT COUNTY, N.C. — Joshua Berk-Todd Congleton, 30, of Williamston, was arrested after being found in possession of methamphetamine at the Pitt County Detention Center.

A Pitt County Deputy Sheriff was patrolling the Stokes Community when he spotted a vehicle at Country Mart #2 on NC 903 North. The deputy suspected the vehicle’s owner, later identified as Congleton, was wanted on active warrants.

Upon confirmation that Congleton was wanted in Northampton County for two counts of cyberstalking and one count of misdemeanor stalking, he was arrested and transported to the Pitt County Detention Center.

During a search at the detention center, officers discovered methamphetamine, leading to an additional charge of felony possession of a controlled substance in a prison/jail premises.

Congleton received a $15,000 secured bond for the drug charge and was held without bond for the original warrants. He was released on January 14 after posting a total of $16,000 in secured bonds.
