CALHOUN COUNTY, SC – Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a disabled vehicle, linking them to a string of recent roadside thefts, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Joshua D. Bailey, 40, and Richard D. Knotts Jr., 35, were taken into custody after investigators identified a vehicle of interest connected to the crimes.
Bailey faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, trafficking meth (third offense), grand larceny, and criminal conspiracy. His bond was set at $375,000 cash surety.
Knotts has been charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, criminal conspiracy, and grand larceny. His bond was set at $250,000 cash surety.
The Special Operations Team was instrumental in tracking the suspects, and further investigations are ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information on similar thefts to contact law enforcement.
