Jose Amaral Charged with Class A Drug Offences Near Wisbech

A man has been arrested and charged with drug-related offences near Wisbech. Officers detained the individual in his twenties on the A17 close to Terrington St Clement around 10 PM on Tuesday, July 9, on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.

Following the arrest, he was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for further questioning.

Jose Amaral, 25, of Longden Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester, now faces two counts related to the supply of Class A drugs, specifically diamorphine and crack cocaine, for the period between August 11, 2023, and July 10, 2024. Additionally, he has been charged with possession of criminal property as of July 9, 2024. Amaral has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today, July 11.
