Jonathan Saldana Rojas Arrested for Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Pasco County deputies have arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Saldana Rojas for his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed motorcyclist Isaiah Raposa, 18, at a Gibsonton intersection. The crash occurred on Wednesday evening when Rojas, driving a white sedan, turned left onto Symmes Road at Southwind Lake Drive and collided with Raposa’s motorcycle.

After the crash, Rojas fled the scene, but law enforcement later located his vehicle and obtained an arrest warrant. He was arrested Friday in Pasco County and is now facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a valid license.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed gratitude for the collaboration between law enforcement agencies, which led to Rojas’s swift arrest.
