John Murphy Elmore Jr. Arrested for Teen Stabbing in Roanoke

ROANOKE, VA – A Roanoke man, John Murphy Elmore Jr., was arrested Tuesday night and charged with malicious wounding after allegedly attacking a teenage boy with a sharp object near Patrick Henry High School.

Incident Details
🔹 The attack occurred late Monday morning while the victim was out for a run with his girlfriend.
🔹 Elmore reportedly approached the teen and slashed his face, causing a significant wound.
🔹 The boy was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while his girlfriend was unharmed.

Arrest & Investigation
🔹 Police executed a search warrant at a home on Brandon Avenue, just a block from the crime scene.
🔹 Elmore was taken into custody Tuesday night.
🔹 He has been charged with malicious wounding.
🔹 Authorities have not yet disclosed a possible motive.
