Joetavius Jackson Sentenced to Life for 2022 Murder of Brian Vanhook

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Joetavius Jackson, 39, was sentenced to life in prison on January 17 after being convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Brian Vanhook in 2022.

According to the Riviera Beach Police Department, officers responded to a call on October 17, 2022, at Azure Estates, located at 1555 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where they discovered Vanhook’s lifeless body.

Following the investigation, Jackson was arrested by a task force in Lake City in November 2022. The Riviera Beach Police Department extended its gratitude to the U.S. Marshals Task Force, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and all law enforcement personnel involved in bringing Jackson to justice.

Jackson’s conviction ensures that he will serve a life sentence for the tragic death of Brian Vanhook.
