Princeton Man Arrested for Stealing Debit Card, Fraudulent Purchases

Jimmie Spencer Kincaid, 21, of Princeton, has been arrested following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. Kincaid is accused of stealing a debit card from a local resident in July 2024, just days before the victim was hospitalized. Upon returning home in August 2024, the victim discovered their debit card was missing, along with approximately $1,364 from their bank account.

Kincaid allegedly used the stolen card to make several fraudulent purchases at local businesses, including grocery stores, fast food chains, and convenience stores. He faces a total of 20 charges, including eight counts of identity theft, eight counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, and additional charges of financial card theft, larceny, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kincaid was arrested on October 1, 2024, and is being held in the Johnston County Detention Center with a secured bond set at $61,000. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with additional information to come forward.
