Jimmie Martin Arrested in Connection with Attempted Murder in Mandeville

Mandeville, La. (WGNO) — Authorities have arrested 41-year-old Jimmie Martin in connection with an attempted murder investigation. On the morning of Thursday, January 16, Mandeville Police responded to a medical emergency call at the 3300 block of John W. Moore Avenue at around 7:10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman with a gunshot wound to her chest.

The woman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical care.

After conducting an investigation, Mandeville Police arrested Martin, who now faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and sexual battery. At this time, no further details have been released about the case.

The investigation is ongoing.
