Jesus Ricardo Patron Sanchez, a 39-year-old Mexican national, has been charged with leading a continuing criminal enterprise, conspiring to distribute narcotics, and using firearms in connection with drug-related offenses. Sanchez, also known by various aliases such as “H-3,” “Diabolic,” “Vela,” “James Bond,” and “Xmen,” was a key leader of the H-2 Cartel, a notorious criminal organization operating in Nayarit and Sinaloa, Mexico. Between June 2013 and December 2016, the cartel was responsible for smuggling large quantities of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana into the U.S. every month, generating millions in illicit profits.
Court documents reveal that Sanchez not only coordinated the distribution of these drugs but also oversaw money laundering operations to funnel proceeds back to Mexico. The cartel used firearms and violence to further its drug trade and has been linked to several murders.
