Jennifer Munoz Bird Arrested Multiple Times for Credit Card Abuse

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Jennifer Munoz Bird, a 40-year-old resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico, has been arrested three times over the past two months by the El Paso County Constable’s Office, Precinct #4, on charges of Credit or Debit Card Abuse.

Bird’s first arrest occurred on August 5, 2024, after two of her coworkers reported that their credit cards had been stolen and used for unauthorized purchases. Bird was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $10,000 bond.

Further investigation led to the discovery of additional victims. Deputies secured seven more warrants for credit card abuse, culminating in Bird’s second arrest on September 5, 2024, at her workplace in Central El Paso. She was booked again, this time with a $7,000 bond.

On October 9, 2024, deputies discovered surveillance footage showing Bird using one of the stolen cards, prompting another arrest and a $2,500 bond. While still in custody, another complaint from a different alleged victim surfaced, resulting in an additional $5,000 bond.

In total, Bird has been charged with 11 counts of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, with a total bond amount of $24,500. Authorities have warned that additional victims may still be unaware that they were targeted by Bird. She also faces similar charges in Doña Ana County, New Mexico.

Bird remains in custody as investigations continue.
