Jeffery McCullough Arrested for Assault and Cruelty to Children in Gordon County

Gordon County deputies were recently dispatched to a home on Knight Road in the Ranger community following a report of an assault. Upon investigation, officers found that a 39-year-old woman had been badly beaten with a blunt instrument, resulting in severe injuries to her face and head.

The woman identified her domestic partner, 36-year-old Jeffery Scott McCullough, as the attacker. He had fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. The victim, along with her children, was safely removed from the scene and relocated to a secure location.

On January 13, deputies located McCullough hiding at a third party’s residence. He was arrested without incident and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and cruelty to children (3rd degree).

An acquaintance of McCullough, 36-year-old Joshua O. Grizzle, was also arrested for aiding McCullough in evading law enforcement officers.

Both men are currently being held in the Gordon County Jail, where they await further legal proceedings.
