Hounslow Central and East Team officers have successfully arrested and charged Jeetan Pankhania, a 53-year-old man without a fixed address, in connection with a car break-in and subsequent fraud offenses. The incident occurred within their jurisdiction, where Pankhania broke into a vehicle and stole various items.
Determined to resolve the case, officers pursued multiple lines of inquiry and reviewed CCTV footage to identify the suspect. During their patrol, they recognized Pankhania walking down the street, matching the surveillance footage linked to the crime.
Pankhania was promptly arrested and charged with theft from a motor vehicle, along with two counts of fraud by false representation. On September 27, 2024, he was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for his offenses.
