Jatinder Kalu of Phagwara Arrested With 55 Intoxicating Tablets

In a late-night operation on Wednesday, the police arrested a drug peddler, Jatinder Kalu, a resident of Chhag Colony, Phagwara, after seizing 55 intoxicating tablets from his possession.

The accused was intercepted at a police checkpoint, where a search led to the recovery of the tablets. According to the police, Kalu was unable to provide a valid explanation for possessing the substances.

A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are ongoing to determine the source and intended distribution of the seized tablets.

The police reiterated their commitment to cracking down on the illegal drug trade and urged the public to report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
