Jammu and Kashmir Police Arrest Two Drug Peddlers in Kulgam

In a dedicated effort to combat drug trafficking, Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two drug peddlers in Kulgam district on Sunday. The arrests followed a routine checkpoint established by the Police Station Qaimoh at Gufbal, Qaimoh, where two individuals were found in suspicious conditions.

Upon searching the suspects, the police recovered 2 kilograms of grinded cannabis and 200 grams of charas from their possession. The arrested individuals have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie and Arif Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Qaimoh.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 03/2025 at Police Station Qaimoh, and the two suspects are facing charges under the NDPS Act. Authorities are continuing their efforts to curb the illegal drug trade in the region and prevent further drug-related harm.
