James Morris Arrested on Drug Charges After Pursuit in Vicksburg

Vicksburg police officers arrested James Morris, 30, of Vicksburg, on drug charges after a brief pursuit on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The arrest occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 80 just outside the city limits.

During the stop, officers discovered that Morris was in possession of crack cocaine.

Morris was charged with one count of possession of cocaine and appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in the Vicksburg Municipal Court for his arraignment. He was later bound over to the Warren County grand jury on a $30,000 bond.
