James Frederick Dove Jr. Arrested on Drug Charges in Jones County

Jones County authorities arrested James Frederick Dove Jr., 37, early Sunday morning, February 9, after a traffic stop in the Potters Hill area. Deputies had been focusing on the area due to increasing reports and complaints.

Dove, who was pulled over for an equipment violation around 3:00 a.m., attempted to flee the scene but was quickly detained. After searching the vehicle, deputies discovered narcotics where Dove exited the vehicle.

Dove Jr. now faces multiple serious charges, including possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. He also faces charges related to the manufacture of these drugs and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances. Additionally, Dove Jr. has been charged with several misdemeanor drug offenses and traffic violations.

Currently, he is being held at the Jones County Detention Center without bond. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details.
