James Carbajal Jailed Again for Child Pornography Possession

A Bryan man has been jailed for the second time in less than a month on child pornography charges. According to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old James Carbajal was arrested again as part of an ongoing investigation.

The latest arrest report states that Carbajal was found in possession of over 100 digital photos and videos containing child pornography. Authorities noted that this figure does not include all the files recovered from his devices. In his statements, Carbajal reportedly described himself as a “monster” and admitted that he knew his actions were wrong.

Carbajal was first arrested on February 28 and released three days later after posting a $25,000 bond. He was taken into custody again on March 25, and as of March 27, he remains jailed with bond set at $50,000.

Bryan Teen Arrested for Selling THC Vapes & Reckless Driving
In a separate case, Bryan police arrested a 17-year-old high school student for selling THC vape pens on campus and leading officers on a reckless chase.

The incident occurred on March 25, when a school resource officer noticed a THC vape pen inside a parked truck at Bryan High School. When the officer attempted to approach, the driver fled, recklessly speeding along Briarcrest Drive.

The pursuit ended in the parking lot of a hotel near Target, where the driver, identified as Homero Balderas Jr., was apprehended. Police found multiple THC vape pens, $427 in cash, and additional drug paraphernalia at his home.

Balderas was charged with:

Drug sales on campus

Tampering with evidence (disposing of vape pens during pursuit)

Reckless driving

Driving without a license

He was later released after posting $22,000 in bonds.

Texas A&M Police Arrest Man for Tailgate Thefts
Texas A&M police arrested Brandon Eckle, 24, on multiple warrants related to thefts across Brazos, Waller, Harris, and Brazoria counties.

Investigators say Eckle stole items from tailgate parties during Texas A&M’s football game against Notre Dame last September. The case broke when two victims discovered their stolen property listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

When Eckle was arrested on March 25, officers found:

A stolen Social Security card

A check and two credit cards belonging to other people

He also faces two counts of criminal trespassing at Texas A&M’s flagship campus.

Eckle is currently held on $46,600 in bonds, with an additional hold for an outstanding $636 fine from a Justice of the Peace warrant.
