In a significant crackdown against organized crime, Jalandhar Rural Police have successfully dismantled a land fraud racket and arrested three individuals who were attempting to fraudulently register 10 acres of prime land worth approximately Rs10 crore using forged documents.
The breakthrough came after the Phillaur police acted on specific intelligence inputs and launched a well-coordinated operation under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh. The operation led to the arrest of the three accused individuals who had meticulously forged Aadhaar cards and land ownership documents to gain illegal ownership of the property in Bahadrak Ba Village Bhatia.

These individuals were part of an elaborate criminal scheme aimed at acquiring valuable land through fraudulent means.
The SSP revealed that the arrested individuals had meticulously prepared fake documents, including Aadhaar cards and land ownership papers, to falsely register the 10 acres of land in their names. The fraudulent registration was intended to deceive authorities and gain possession of the land worth Rs10 crore.
The Phillaur police acted swiftly on the reliable information, executing a targeted operation that led to the successful interception and arrest of the accused. The police also seized the forged documents used in the scheme.
