Jalandhar Police Arrest Trio for Targeting NRI Homes in Burglary Scheme

The Jalandhar (Rural) police have successfully apprehended three members of a burglary gang that specifically targeted NRI properties and vacant homes in the region. The trio was arrested following a special operation led by the crime branch, based on credible intelligence regarding suspicious activities in the Bidhipur area.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar, originally from Mahsi village, Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh, Sonu Kashap from Ramghat village, Bahraich district, and Parmeet Singh, a resident of Model Town, Jalandhar. Police recovered stolen items, including fifty taps, and a vehicle (Punjab registration number 01 E 7724), which was used for the crimes.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, stated that the gang used sophisticated tools to break into locked houses during the night. The accused were apprehended while traveling in the car, which was also impounded during the operation. A case has been registered at the Maqusdan police station, and the accused have been remanded to police custody for further investigation.
