Jake Clark, the 30-year-old CEO of the Kardu Diminin Corporation, has been charged with assault following an alleged “citizen’s arrest” in Wadeye in December. Clark, who has lived in the Northern Territory community since childhood, faces charges of aggravated assault and aggravated burglary after an incident that took place on December 19.

According to NT Police, the incident occurred around 4 pm when a 27-year-old man was allegedly damaging a vehicle within the community. Clark, responsible for the vehicle, confronted the individual and is accused of carrying out a citizen’s arrest. Police attended the scene and arrested the 27-year-old man, although he was later released while investigations continued.

Police confirmed that no statement of complaint has been filed regarding the damaged vehicle. Additionally, the 27-year-old man has not been charged in connection with the incident.
