Jada Williams Arrested After Attempted Courthouse Escape

MANCHESTER, Conn. – A woman from Worcester, Massachusetts, was arrested Monday after attempting to flee from state troopers at Manchester Superior Court, according to Connecticut State Police.

Troopers responded to the courthouse at 2:13 p.m. to arrest 25-year-old Jada Williams, who had an outstanding warrant in connection with a 2024 theft investigation. While troopers attempted to take her into custody, Williams reportedly ran and tried to get into a vehicle to escape. Authorities pulled her from the vehicle before she could flee, and she continued to resist arrest.

Williams was wanted for an incident in October 2024 in which she allegedly broke into a vehicle and stole items, including multiple debit and credit cards. Police allege she then made more than $1,000 in unauthorized purchases using the stolen cards.

She now faces charges including:

Conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny

Conspiracy to commit third-degree criminal mischief

Conspiracy to commit receipt from illegal use of a credit card

Interfering with an officer

Williams was held on a combined $100,000 bond and was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Rockville Superior Court.
