Jacksonville Police Charge Anthony McKinney & Kennedy Rowe

Jacksonville, NC – Two people have been charged in connection with a fatal house fire in Jacksonville that took the life of 28-year-old Torence Michael Thomas on Tuesday night, January 14, 2024.

The Jacksonville Police and Fire Departments responded to the fire at 11:15 p.m. Upon entering the residence, firefighters found Thomas and attempted life-saving measures. Unfortunately, he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anthony Daniel Dasha McKinney, 29, and Kennedy Shamika Rowe, 27, have been arrested and charged with First Degree Arson and Felony Conspiracy in connection to the fire. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
