A Staffordshire drug dealer has avoided immediate imprisonment after being caught with almost £40,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis. Jack Brandrick, 27, was apprehended on October 18 last year after he hitched a ride in a grey Audi S3 that failed to stop for police officers.
When officers later visited Brandrick’s home in Norton Canes to inquire about the incident, they discovered a significant stash of drugs. Around £17,000 worth of cocaine was found, along with £20,000 worth of cannabis and £4,000 in cash. Further searches revealed scales, bags, and drug paraphernalia linking Brandrick to the drug trade.
Brandrick was arrested and pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, as well as acquiring, using, and possessing criminal property. At Stafford Crown Court on February 13, 2025, Brandrick was sentenced to two years in prison, but the sentence was suspended for two years, meaning he will avoid jail if he complies with the conditions set by the court.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson emphasized the ongoing efforts to combat criminal gangs involved in drug dealing and other high-harm offenses in the community as part of their Operation Target initiative. The sentencing serves as part of their crackdown on drug-related crimes across the region.
