SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WGME) — Isaac Howard Sterling, 24, has been sentenced to six years in prison as part of a plea deal after committing robbery at both a Waterville bank and a Fairfield convenience store.
Sterling’s crimes date back to November 2023, when he was arrested for robbing the Bangor Savings Bank in Waterville and the Circle K store in Fairfield. On October 31, 2023, Sterling entered the Bangor Savings Bank, showed a threatening note to the teller, and managed to steal cash before fleeing the scene.
The following day, November 1, 2023, Sterling robbed the Circle K in Fairfield. Police later arrested Sterling and Trevor Miller, who reportedly acted as his getaway driver. Surveillance footage from the robberies confirmed Sterling’s involvement.
In addition to his six-year prison sentence, Sterling was ordered to pay $176 in restitution to the Fairfield Circle K and $485 to the Bangor Savings Bank in Waterville.
Sterling’s sentence includes three years of probation following his release.
