FARGO, N.D. – Fargo police arrested 37-year-old Irvin Peltier Jr. on Tuesday morning after he was found banging on a woman’s door and window, later resisting arrest.

At 11:10 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call in the 2600 block of 14th St. S. The caller reported that Peltier Jr. had been knocking persistently before leaving. She told police that she had allowed him inside to collect his belongings, but he later refused to leave.

Upon investigation, officers discovered Peltier Jr. had an active warrant in Cass County for a probation violation related to a previous domestic violence charge.

Struggle During Arrest
Officer Lien arrived at the scene and spotted Peltier Jr. in the hallway near the caller’s apartment. When the officer attempted to engage him, Peltier Jr. became uncooperative and tried to leave the scene.

Despite multiple commands to stop, he resisted arrest, leading to a physical struggle outside the building. During the altercation, Officer Lien’s radio malfunctioned, preventing him from calling for backup.

One minute later, another officer arrived and helped take Peltier Jr. into custody. He is now facing additional charges related to the incident.
