LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. – Irmo Town Councilman Erik Sickinger was arrested late Tuesday by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) agents on multiple charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, according to Lexington County Sheriff’s Department records.
A booking sheet obtained by WACH Fox News confirms that Sickinger is facing several counts of second-degree sexual misconduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Investigation & Detention
Authorities have not yet released specific details about the allegations leading to Sickinger’s arrest. However, as of late Tuesday night, he was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
Sickinger was first elected to the Irmo Town Council in 2020 and later appointed Mayor Pro-Tem in 2023. His legal case is currently under investigation.
