Interstate Theft Gang Arrested by MIG Police in Major Bust

The MIG police on Wednesday arrested three members of an interstate gang involved in a series of thefts across various cities and states. The arrest follows a search related to a theft that occurred in the MIG area.

According to DCP (Zone-2) Abhinay Vishwakarma, a dedicated police team was formed to track the suspects. After reviewing over 450 CCTV footage from the area, the police discovered that the accused had fled the city and traveled to Delhi by flight. The team then traced them to Gujarat, but the suspects managed to flee once again.

Further information led the police team to LIG Link Road, where the suspects were apprehended. They were reportedly waiting to sell the stolen valuables and cash.

The accused have been identified as Samit Takrana (from Barwani district), Kadda alias Balbeer Singh (from Akash Nagar), and Kalu alias Yamraj Mourya (from Akash Nagar). An accomplice, Gurdeep Singh, remains on the run.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing thefts in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and other states. They were involved in a recent theft at a cloth merchant’s place in the Srinagar Extension area, where they stole gold worth Rs40 lakh and some cash. However, the police were able to recover only about 20% of the stolen goods.
