Indore’s Crime Branch arrested two individuals on Monday in separate drug-related cases, seizing 30 grams of banned MD drugs and over 6 kilograms of ganja from their possession.
According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, the first arrest involved Irfan Khan, who was detained after a surveillance operation in the Sadar Bazaar area. Acting on a tip-off, the Crime Branch team caught Khan near the Gutkeshwar Mahadev Temple. Upon searching him, the team recovered 30 grams of MD drugs. Khan was immediately booked under the NDPS Act.
In a separate operation, Arvind alias Bhaiyya Badnaware was arrested with 6.214 kilograms of ganja. The Crime Branch team was conducting a search operation near the District Trade and Industry Center in front of Polo Ground when they spotted Badnaware, a suspicious individual on a motorcycle. A search of his belongings led to the recovery of the ganja.
Both accused were charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
