Indian Student Harshandeep Singh Shot Dead in Edmonton, Suspects Arrested

An Indian student, Harshandeep Singh, working as a security guard in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, was tragically shot dead by two individuals on Friday. The 20-year-old was found in the stairwell of his apartment, unresponsive, after the attack that occurred around 12:30 AM.

Edmonton police responded to a report of a gunshot near 106 Street and 107 Avenue, where they discovered Singh’s lifeless body. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead shortly after arrival.

Two suspects, Evan Rain, 30, and Judith Saulteaux, 30, were arrested at the scene and charged with 1st-degree murder. A weapon was recovered during the arrests. CCTV footage reportedly shows the attackers throwing Singh down the stairs and then shooting him.

Although the footage indicates the presence of three individuals, police have confirmed that they do not believe anyone else was involved in the murder. The investigation is ongoing as the police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
