Inder Singh Parmar Updates on Financial Irregularity Scam, Vacant Posts in Higher Education

Madhya Pradesh’s Technical Education Minister, Inder Singh Parmar, confirmed that a total of fifteen people, including the former Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya (RGPV), have been arrested in connection with a financial irregularity scam. The Bhopal court is currently reviewing the case.

Minister Parmar also stated that chargesheets have been issued to Sunil Kumar, the then Vice Chancellor, and Dr. R S Rajput, the suspended Registrar. The scam involved significant mismanagement and financial malpractices within the institution, leading to the arrests of several individuals.

Regarding staffing issues, Minister Parmar disclosed that there are 512 vacant posts for Professors and 7,046 vacant posts for Assistant Professors in the Higher Education department. To address the shortage of faculty, guest lecturers have been appointed, and teaching arrangements are underway. The Madhya Pradesh Lok Seva Ayog has also issued the select lists for some subjects related to the Assistant Professor Exam 2022, and processing of appointments will begin once the list is finalized.

In another response, Cooperative Minister Vishvas Sarang provided details about the Rachna Towers Complex in Bhopal, which was built with a project cost of Rs176 crore. As of now, ₹173.64 crore has already been spent on the construction of the complex. This was revealed in response to a query from Rajendra Meshram about the cost and progress of the Rachna Tower, which is being constructed for MLAs.
