Magistrates in Croydon have sentenced several individuals for serious driving offences, including fraud and violations related to the use of disabled blue badges, as well as driving with obscured license plates and failing to stop for police.
Police are currently seeking two individuals in connection with fraudulent use of disabled badges.
Among those sentenced, Imran Ali, a 26-year-old from Cherry Close in Tulse Hill, is accused of five fraud-related offences involving the misuse of a disabled blue badge and challenging Penalty Charge Notices. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Justyana Jade Bryan, 23, from Branksome Road in Brixton Hill, admitted to failing to provide required information about her Audi to Lambeth Council after receiving a notice. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £960 in costs.
Amin Sadiq Mohammed, 26, from Brookdene Road in Plumstead, was convicted for using a disabled blue badge fraudulently. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £520 in costs, and a £80 victim surcharge.
Olayinka Tomiwa, 31, from Birchanger Road in South Norwood, is accused of fraud related to car insurance and ownership. A warrant for his arrest is currently active.
Tyrell Johnson, 21, from Bishops Road in Croydon, admitted to multiple offences including driving dangerously, failing to stop for police, driving with an obscured license plate, and failing to attend court. He received a 12-month community order, 120 hours of unpaid work, and a 12-month driving ban.
Huseyin Dervis Huseyin, 30, from Ogilby Street in Woolwich, was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge for driving with an obscured registration mark.
These cases highlight ongoing efforts by local authorities to tackle driving fraud and enforce traffic laws, ensuring that offenders are held accountable for their actions.
