In a separate development, Manyam Narsimha Reddy, a Revenue Inspector at the Dubbaka Tahsildar Office in Siddipet district, was arrested by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on February 12 for accepting a bribe of INR 1 lakh. ACB officials reported that Reddy was caught red-handed around 6:50 PM while accepting the bribe at Laxmi Tea Point near BJR Circle in Siddipet.
The bribe was allegedly demanded to facilitate the transfer of Patta land ownership from Raji Reddy to Kumbham Sujatha, involving a total of 3.25 acres of land in Appanapalli village, Dubbaka Mandal. The ACB officials recovered the bribe money from Reddy’s possession and confirmed the tainted cash through a chemical test. The ACB stated that Reddy misused his official position for personal gain.
