A home nurse, identified as Siddappa K Kodli, was arrested by the police for allegedly stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 31 lakh from a house where he was working. The incident came to light when Prasad SS, the homeowner, filed a complaint claiming that the nurse had stolen valuables amounting to Rs 31,17,100.
The police launched an investigation and traced Siddappa to Kushtagi in Koppala district, where he was apprehended. During his arrest, stolen items worth Rs 30 lakh were recovered from him.
Siddappa was presented before the court and has since been remanded to judicial custody. The case is being further investigated as police attempt to understand how he managed to steal the jewellery and if there are any other potential accomplices involved.
