Hiram Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking and Firearm Charges After Search Warrant Execution

Hiram, ME — A local man was arrested on multiple charges after authorities executed a search warrant at his Tripptown Road residence on Tuesday.

Mark O’Brien, 37, was taken into custody and faces several charges, including two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, two counts of furnishing scheduled drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, theft by receiving stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is currently being held at Oxford County Jail in Paris with a $50,000 bail.

The search, conducted at 931 Tripptown Road at approximately 2:30 p.m., resulted in the discovery of 143.6 grams of cocaine, 33.1 grams of fentanyl, 2.5 grams of methamphetamines, 59 doses of suboxone, and 10 oxycodone pills. Deputies also found items connected to the manufacturing of crack cocaine, seven firearms, and a stolen chainsaw.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to address the serious criminal activity in the area.
