Hickory Woman Arrested on Drug Charges and Misdemeanor Larceny

HICKORY, N.C. — Sheena Yount Smith, 49, of Hickory, was arrested by Long View Police Officers on January 2 and is facing multiple charges, including felony possession of Schedule II controlled substances, cocaine, and fentanyl. Smith was also charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of larceny from Caldwell County.

Smith was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $6,000 bond. She is scheduled for a District Court appearance on January 3 in Newton, and a Caldwell County District Court date is set for January 29. Smith also faces a Superior Court date on February 17 in Newton.
