Haryana Man Arrested for Cheating Goa Resort of Rs 2.09 Lakh

A man from Haryana, Mirnank Singh, was arrested by Mandrem police for defrauding a resort at Ashwem, Goa, out of Rs 2.09 lakh. Singh, a resident of Faridabad, Haryana, stayed at Thalassa Beach Resort from January 2 to January 4 while impersonating a high-ranking Goa government official.

During his stay, Singh used a fake identity to avail of the resort’s facilities but did not settle his bill. After being found out, he was arrested for cheating the resort and failing to pay for his accommodation and services.

The police have charged Singh under relevant sections of fraud, and investigations into the case are ongoing.
