Hartselle Pair Arrested for Stealing Merchandise from Retail Store

HARTSELLE, Ala. (WAFF) — Two suspects, Kristine Faye Wolfe and Corey Denzel Watkins, were arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing over $500 worth of merchandise from a retail business in Hartselle.

According to Hartselle Police, the pair worked together to distract employees and walk out of the store with a cart full of unpaid items. The store staff had been watching them due to their suspicious behavior, prompting a report to the loss prevention team.

Authorities later learned that Wolfe and Watkins were seen at another store, allegedly committing a similar theft. With the help of the store’s loss prevention team and neighboring law enforcement, Wolfe and Watkins were identified and arrested in Huntsville.

They were transported to Morgan County Jail and each received a $2,500 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
