On January 24, two South Royalton residents were arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop by Vermont State Police.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., troopers from the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks conducted a traffic stop on South Windsor Street near Moses Lane for a violation. Upon investigation, the driver, 28-year-old Harmonie Cosgrove, was found to be trafficking fentanyl. The passenger, 44-year-old Kenvron Gardner, was in possession of methamphetamine and had an outstanding in-state arrest warrant. Additionally, Gardner was found to be in violation of conditions from a previous court case.
Both Cosgrove and Gardner were arrested and processed at the Royalton Barracks. Gardner was cited to appear at Windsor County Superior Court later that day for the arrest warrant and was scheduled to appear again on April 1 for the meth possession charge. He was held at Southern State Correctional Facility on a $500 bail.
Cosgrove received a citation to appear in court on April 1 but was released after the arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
