Hannah Kobayashi’s Family Investigates Green Card Marriage Scam

The family of Hannah Kobayashi, who was reported missing in November, is now investigating the possibility that her disappearance may be linked to a green card marriage scam. The 30-year-old woman, last seen at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on November 8, was reportedly scammed out of proceeds from a fraudulent visa scheme. This claim was uncovered by her mother, leading to a police investigation.

Authorities revealed that security footage from the US-Mexico border near Tijuana shows Kobayashi crossing into Mexico a day after she was reported missing. The case has taken a new twist as her family considers the involvement of cryptic messages sent from her phone, which her sister, Sydni Kobayashi, believes may have been sent by someone else.

The investigation is ongoing, and the disappearance of Hannah Kobayashi is now considered “voluntary” by law enforcement, with officials respecting her apparent wish for privacy.
