Hailey Roberts Faces Charges for Falsifying Documents to Work as Nurse

Hailey Roberts, a 33-year-old woman from Tiny Township, Ontario, is facing multiple charges for allegedly falsifying documents to work as a registered nurse in Simcoe County between 2020 and 2024.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) claim that Roberts impersonated a licensed nurse at various healthcare facilities, including long-term care homes, where she performed full nursing duties despite lacking the necessary qualifications.

To secure employment, Roberts is accused of falsifying a range of documents, including job applications, certificates, resumes, reference checks, and police background checks. She allegedly altered these documents to make her name resemble that of active nurses with good standing, according to Huronia West OPP.

Roberts voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Sunday. She now faces 19 charges, including identity fraud and assault with a weapon. A bail hearing has been scheduled for her in Barrie.
