Guwahati Police Bust Multiple Criminals, Recover Stolen Goods

In a series of decisive actions, Guwahati Police have intensified their fight against criminal activities across different locations. The East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) and Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) made multiple arrests and seized significant items tied to criminal activities.

A team from the Basistha Police Station arrested Krishna Bahadur Chetri (37), a notorious burglar from Diphu, in connection with a theft at Beharbari. Police seized burglary tools, including a combination plier, hammer, and round bolt spanner, from his possession.

In another operation, the EGPD team from Bhangagarh Police Station apprehended mobile snatchers Abhijit Rabha (23) and Rahul Das (20). They were caught with a stolen Narzo mobile phone and a Honda Dio scooter (AS 01 FS 6510).

The Basistha Police team also raided a scrapyard at 8 Mile near Hanuman Mandir and discovered several suspected stolen items, including kitchen appliances, electric wires, batteries, sewing machines, and various bike parts. The scrapyard owner, Tazimul Ali (26), was arrested.

These successful operations by Guwahati Police highlight their ongoing efforts to curb criminal activity in the city.
