Guwahati’s Bhangagarh Police have arrested Alisha Begum, a notorious female mobile thief, who had been involved in stealing mobile phones from various locations in the area for an extended period. The arrest was made on Thursday, and four stolen mobile phones were recovered from her possession.
Investigations revealed that Alisha had been exchanging the stolen phones for drugs with local peddlers, further linking her to a drug trafficking network. Her arrest is expected to provide valuable insights into the region’s mobile theft and drug trafficking operations.
The police are continuing their investigation, hoping to uncover further connections and break up the criminal networks.
