On Friday afternoon, Gurundia Police from the Bonai sub-division of Sundargarh district arrested a young man, Rajesh Kisan, for allegedly murdering his lover. The crime was reportedly committed after Rajesh suspected Gouri Kisan, his 19-year-old girlfriend from Balia village, of having an affair with another man.
The decomposed body of Gouri Kisan was discovered 10 days after she went missing. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Rajesh Kisan, aged 22 and from Kansar village, was behind the brutal act.
The incident came to light after Gouri’s disappearance, and after extensive inquiries, the police connected Rajesh to the crime. He was subsequently arrested for her murder.
