n a new development in a Gujarat visa scam case, a petitioner, Radhika Dhameliya ,
Arohi Patel , who runs aSticky Rice Nayak , a seGujarat Ambuja Exports Limited.
Nayak had paid Rs23.50 lakh to Goswami and Patel for visa processing through their consultancy. However, after making the payment, Nayak received no updates, and his calls were ignored. Frustrated, he filed a complaint with the Anand Nagar Police, leading to the detention of Goswami and Patel.
Upon interrogation, Goswami and Patel allegedly named Dhameliya, who operates the Kanak Immigration Consultancy in Surat, as an accomplice. However, in her petition, Dhameliya clarified that she had made a payment of Rs14 lakh to Goswami via the RTGS system, which was part of an attempt to have her visa processed but was never completed.
Instead of detaining Goswami and Patel, Dhameliya alleges that the Anand Nagar police wrongfully arrested her and gained custody through a local court. She claims that the authorities have been giving “special treatment” to the main accused, avoiding proper questioning and instead focusing on her involvement.
The petition has raised serious concerns over the handling of the case, accusing the police of targeting the wrong individual while letting the real culprits evade justice. The case is still under investigation, with Dhameliya seeking justice for what she describes as a wrongful arrest.
