Goa Crime Branch Arrests Kenyan Woman for Trafficking Victims to Goa

The Goa Crime Branch has arrested Nancy Kingori, a woman from Kenya, for trafficking women from her country to Goa for exploitation. Kingori was arrested in Bengaluru after a victim filed a complaint, accusing the accused of being involved in trafficking operations that forced women into prostitution.

On March 3, 2025, the Crime Branch registered a complaint after the victim revealed that she had been brought to Goa from Kenya and coerced into prostitution. She further disclosed that Nancy Kingori had been running this trafficking operation since November 18, 2024.

An FIR was filed against Kingori under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita. A dedicated investigation team, led by Lady Police Sub-Inspector Pragati Malik, was dispatched to Bengaluru to trace the accused.

Using technical surveillance, the police successfully apprehended Kingori in Bengaluru, and she was brought back to Goa on March 13 for further investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, with the police working to identify and rescue other victims who may have been trafficked by the accused.
