Giuseppina Rossetti Sentenced for Violating Restraining Order

A 43-year-old woman, Giuseppina Rossetti, has been sentenced to four weeks in prison for violating a restraining order. The sentencing took place at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on October 7.

Rossetti, who resides on West Wycombe Road in High Wycombe, had previously received a 12-week suspended prison sentence for similar offenses. This prior sentence was activated and added to her current sentence.

At the October 7 hearing, she pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice (CPN). Earlier, she had also admitted guilt to a further breach of the restraining order and three counts of criminal damage under £5,000.

Despite receiving a CPN prohibiting her from soliciting money from others, Rossetti continued to ask multiple individuals for money on the streets and at their homes throughout Aylesbury in September. She notably targeted elderly and vulnerable members of the community, frequently visiting retirement complexes to exploit them.

In one instance, Rossetti went to the home of a man in his 60s, violating the restraining order that prohibited her from visiting him. Following an investigation by the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team, officers arrested her on September 30, leading to various charges and a 12-week suspended sentence.

However, Rossetti breached her CPN and restraining order again on October 3, resulting in her arrest by the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team once more. After pleading guilty in court, she was sentenced to an additional four weeks in prison, with her previously suspended sentence now activated.

PC Ashley Collins of the Aylesbury North Neighbourhood Policing Team expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I am pleased Giuseppina Rossetti will serve a prison sentence as a result of continually targeting the most vulnerable members of our society.”
