PULASKI, Tenn. (WAFF) — A Giles County High School teacher was arrested Friday night by the Giles County Sheriff’s Department and charged with solicitation of a minor, authorities confirmed.
The suspect, identified as Steven Hughes, is listed as an agriculture teacher at the school.
While details surrounding his arrest remain limited, officials confirmed that Hughes was released from the Giles County Jail on Saturday morning around 10 a.m. after posting a $5,000 bond.
His next court date is scheduled for March 11.
The Giles County School System acknowledged the incident but has not provided further comments.
