Georgia York Arrested for Burglary and Theft in Paragould

A woman faces multiple charges following her arrest linked to a burglary and theft case earlier this month. Georgia York, 32, from Paragould, was taken into custody by Greene County deputies on October 20. She is suspected of two counts each of residential burglary and commercial burglary, theft of property, criminal mischief in the first degree, and criminal trespass.

York’s bond was set at $50,000 this week, and she remains in the Greene County jail awaiting her arraignment.

Her arrest is connected to two break-ins that occurred on October 13 at Edge Auto Sales & Service, located in the 4000 block of Highway 49 North, and at Thompson Auto Sales in the 4700 block of Highway 49 North. Authorities reported significant damage, including three broken windows, two damaged window air conditioning units, a desk inside Thompson Auto Sales, and a damaged pickup truck in its parking lot. Edge Auto Sales & Service also had its front door damaged.

York was later found in a stolen vehicle, and deputies discovered items taken from both auto sales businesses in her possession, according to an affidavit.

York is the second person arrested in connection with this case. Caden Morgan, 24, also from Paragould, was arrested on October 13 on similar charges and is being held in the Greene County jail, awaiting arraignment as well.
